In my last post, I talked about different ideas for escort card holders. Then, this past weekend, I had the pleasure of working the reception for Christina and Sam. Their reception was held at The Westin Hotel in Columbus, a truly gorgeous venue.

I love all things gold and sparkly, so this reception decor was right up my alley. Everything was so elegant and looked beautiful. On top of this, Sam and Christina added personal touches that made their day memorable.

This wedding provided me with some guest book and escort card inspiration. Sam and Christina used a personalized whiskey barrel as their guest book. This whiskey theme was continued when guests went to grab their escort cards, tied around little bottles of Maker’s Mark.

I, along with the guests, loved these ideas. They are so unique and are not typically seen at most weddings. Escort card holders and guest books are a great opportunities to add some personal flair to any reception or wedding venue. Sometimes, I feel like ballroom weddings or receptions can look very traditional and similar. In these types of situations, it is all about the little details and decor that make the day special and memorable.
