Choosing a venue can say so much about a couple. The venue sets the tone and the atmosphere for the rest of the night. Usually after choosing a date or general timeframe, this is the first big decision an engaged couple makes together. There are so many fun and unique venues to choose from in Ohio.

Petra and Clayton had their special day at Hocking Hills. Throughout their time dating, they went to Hocking Hills multiple times over the years. When they saw another couple get married at Ash Cave, they knew that was their perfect venue.

Unique Venues

When you consider your venue, there are so many fun routes you can take. Choose something that is going to represent your relationship together and your personalities.

For example, if you love the arts, consider a museum, where you can create an atmosphere of art, color, and creativity.

If you are an outdoorsy couple, think about a conservatory or garden area. This atmosphere brings a real sense of nature and organic scenery, with very little requirement for extra decoration.

State parks or other outdoor areas like Hocking Hills, offer a unique “venue”. Nothing is off limits, don’t be afraid to be creative and search for your perfect spot. Unique outdoor spaces offer an opportunity for something really special - even these super chic tents can be used for the right couple who wants a new outdoor wedding!

Depending on how guests you are inviting, you need to make sure you have a large enough parking lot to to accommodate, or have made arrangements for valet or transportation for your wedding party and guests.

Accessibility

Making sure your venue is accessible for all your guests is very important. Even in a unique venue, you need to make sure that all your guests can comfortably and easily enjoy your special day.
